10 Sep Dr. Yaw Perbi Honoured with Legacy Impact Award at EYO’s 30th Anniversary
On Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the Pioneers Africa Centre in East Legon, Accra, Dr. Yaw Perbi, the Global CEO of The HuD Group, was honoured with the Legacy Impact Award by Excellent Youth Outreach (EYO) as part of their 30th Anniversary Dinner and Fundraiser.
The Legacy Impact Award recognises remarkable individuals whose contributions and leadership have significantly transformed lives and communities. Dr. Perbi’s journey with EYO during his student years—and his continued mission of raising leaders, discipling nations, and transforming society globally—stood as a powerful testimony of enduring influence and impact.
Representing Dr. Perbi at the celebration, Frank Koomson, Global Operations Associate of The HuD Group, graciously received the plaque on his behalf. The evening was nothing short of spectacular, marked by powerful music, inspiring reflections, and meaningful connections across generations of EYO alumni and partners.
The event was graced by notable leaders, including Apostle Dr. John Egyir-Croffet (Founder of EYO), Kwesi Oteng-Yeboah (International Director), Solomon Owusu-Ansah (Country Director), and EYO board members, among others. Several associates joined online via livestream. Together, they all celebrated three decades of God’s faithfulness, visionary leadership, and transformational impact through EYO.
Founded three decades ago, Excellent Youth Outreach (EYO) exists to disciple, train, and equip young people as leaders who impact their societies with the gospel of Christ. With its mission of raising transformational leaders, EYO’s influence has extended beyond Ghana to touch lives globally. Honouring Dr. Perbi with the Legacy Impact Award reflects the shared vision between EYO and The HuD Group to multiply Christlike leaders for lasting change.
Dr. Perbi’s recognition affirms his lifelong dedication to leadership development and discipleship. This leader of leaders being honoured as a Legacy Impact Award recipient underscores the truth he so often emphasises from his own mentor, John C. Maxwell: “everything rises and falls on leadership.”
This award is Dr. Yaw Perbi’s second recognition this year, within four months of each other. The first was the national honour conferred on him by the Millennium Excellence Foundation (MEF) at the Manhyia Palace in May 2025, under the patronage of the Asante king Otumfour Osei Tutu II. His award was in the ‘Motivational, Inspiration & Mind’ category. It gladdens the heart to note that Perbi’s influence is not only limited to ‘Christian spaces’ but the wider national and global marketplace. Interestingly, both conferring organizations value ‘Excellence’ in common, as revealed in their names.
